Polartec Scufoneda is going back to its roots! This year is the 17th edition of the freeride race held in the majestic Italian Dolomites. Founded by the Scufons (a group of skiers dedicated to the old way of telemark skiing), Scufoneda celebrates the beginnings of the ski culture in the Val di Fassa. Unlike the past 2 years, this year... there is snow.  And lots of it. The festival runs from March 12-16 in Passo San Pellegrino close to the city of Moena.

From the archives. I've been scouring our historical photos today and came across some pretty stellar images.  

I just love the dapper looking man sitting at his desk with his old school telephone.  If you look close at the calendar on the wall, you can see that it is the year 1911. Polartec was founded in 1906 as Malden Mills so this was taken when the company was just 5 years old.
