Alright, day 3. Things start as they mean to continue i suppose.

*Polly observes the strange individual in her office. He's almost unlike Kiryu in every way. Where Kiryu is built like a Wall, calm and stoic to a fault, this man is lithe and agile, yet no less strong and he dresses like a deranged lunatic, with a ridiculous patterned shirt, unbuttoned over bare abs and leather trousers. What is most striking is the eyepatch lending the man an air of subtle menace, like a coiled snake. And then there's the Name.

Polly knew, of course, that Kiryu had a chequered past, with ties to the Yakuza. But there's a difference between knowing about it and walking into your office on day 3 of your new job and finding the Patriarch of one of Tokyo's most notorious crime families there challenging you to a fight. And this man calls Kiryu "chan" he must be psychotic. But, he is no less dangerous. One doesn't rise to become a Patriach of the Yakuza by collecting bottle caps.

She nods, and paces across her office to the armour stand, and takes up her Yari. But to do battle here, it favours Majima heavily. Here, in her office, there is much clutter that would limit her advantage of reach, and Majima could cause untold destruction to valuable school equipment. Not to mention a student could walk in the door at any time and complicate matters.*

I trust, that you wouldn't mind if we took this outside Majima-san? *she gestures out of the window to the plaza with the statue of the 3 goddesses. Its not much better of a battleground to be honest, but its open and theres less chance that a student will wander into the fight as theyll be able to see it and keep clear*

Office update, day 2 of working as security at tracen

A quieter day, marginally. Ticket got attacked again this morning, fortunately as she was already in the infirmary, it proved less problematic this time. Hopefully the newer security measures at the infirmary will mitigate further attacks there at least.

I have not yet finished reading the Dossier on the Labyrinth. I'm not even sure i want to quite frankly. I'll have a new suite of nightmares about what lurks in the dark beneath this academy. Memo to self. Give thanks to the goddesses every day for sealing that place, and pray that the seals hold. Truly it is a wellspring of foulness and evil down there.

On another note, it seems that Agnes Tachyon has gone missing and Fuji Kiseki, Opera O, Hishi Amazon and Narita Brian have been turned into child versions of themselves. Fortunately that situation appears to be resolving itself. Jungle Pocket has spearheaded the search for Tachyon, and Grass Wonder is caring for the children. Presumably, until Super Creek finds out anyway. I wish them luck in their endeavour.

My desk is set up now, I have a computer. And the CCTV suite has been routed there. Honestly though im trying not to use it too much. It feels odd, watching the school like some sort of Panopticon.

The Rock Throwers are still at large. I learned that they got Flowers earlier. And Urara too, i think. I'm starting to think its time we did something about them. Maybe I should bring Kiryu on board..

Still need to set up that meeting with Tazuna for a primer on some of the other things going down in the academy, and Kiryu for that tip he had about securing the Pride Marathon route. So much to do and not enough Time.

The sunglasses tempt me.. with the power of Anon Magic all this could be done so much quicker. But no.. I promised Flowers.. I told Tazuna that it was worth it and it is.

Okay thats quite enough of that nonsense. The infirmary is a place of healing, the patients there need peace and quiet to be able to rest and heal as quickly as possible so as to not disrupt their racing careers.

I'm setting up a security checkpoint at the Infirmary. From this point any visitors to injured students will be subject to bag and pockets checks. Any items that may be used to harm the patients such as potions, unregistered medications, and anything else the nurses dont approve of will be confiscated and held until you leave.

Any malicious action taken against students recovering in the infirmary shall be dealt with swiftly and decisively.

The figure watches you sharpening its halberd. Its grip hasnt seemed to have weakened since you placed it in its arms.

*The office is something of a mess to begin with. Its brand new after all and so a lot of the security equipment is stored in boxes currently, waiting for a place to be found for it.

There is a desk of course, but no desktop monitor or computer tower, just a laptop. The door is sturdy with a strong padlock on the inside so that the security office can be secured as an emergency holdout if the students need it. There is a table and several chairs laid out for security meetings. There is also a chair against the wall that is conspicuously bolted to the floor for use in restraining someone should it be necessary. There is also a large comfy sofa with several pillows and blankets, and a mini fridge filled with snacks and cold drinks so that any frightened student can hole up here and feel safe while a threat is dealt with.

There are already a few personal touches around the room though. A large vase is secured to the desk, filled with water but currently without flowers. On the wall is a frame but instead of a picture all that is mounted there is a pair of well worn sunglasses. The laptop, that is being used as a main monitor until IT can get out here and set up a proper computer suite, is adorned with stickers of various video game characters and a couple of pride flags. And the comfy sofa, already with a suspiciously Seiun Sky shaped dent in the cushions, is adorned with numerous plushies of different Pokemon for the students to cuddle if they're scared.

The main feature of the new security office though is the Armoury. One wall is lined with a weapon rack that is filled with Polearms of all shapes and sizes. Like a museum exhibition, all of the polearms are secured in place so that no miscreants can abscond with them, and each polearm has a little placard with its name and a little bit of history of the weapon. From the Humble Spear to the Flamboyant Guando, from the Nimble Bardiche to the Mighty Polehammer, From the smallest Throwing Javelin to the Sarissa that is so long that it is mounted diagonally in order to fit in the room, From the most Advanced and Detailed Ranseur to a Pointy Rock Tied to a Long Stick, all manner of pole weapons have a place here.

There is also an Armour Stand in the corner, and resting on it in a manner that suggests it could be quickly donned in an emergency is the Suit of Armour that Kiryu gifted to Polly after the events of the Riots. The Armour stand holds in its hands Polly's personal choice of Polearm. A simple but well loved Yari Spear. The weapon of the common infantry in sengouku Japan, it is not special or flashy, but she loves it because it is Hers. It is the pure simple form of polearm, and represents her Will to stand and protect those who would stand beside or behind her.

Above all things, the office represents safety. This is a place for the students to come to if ever they are frightened or feel threatened. The promise is thus: "if ever you are in this office, Polly will fight tooth and nail to protect you from whatever may come" *
