Proof I've been discriminated against. This was last summer while I was on my way to the highway leaving #quebec city. A $220 fine for stopping to check Google maps to find a suitable hitchhiking spot and send a few messages on Facebook to let my friends know where I was. I returned to old Quebec the next morning and had a one man protest for over a week. Ended up getting over $3000 in fines for doing that. All of the fines were for loitering, playing my guitar, sleeping in public and one for telling a cop who continuously harassed me to "fuck off". #blacklivesmatter it doesn't matter what colour your skin is, if you are living in poverty, you will be the target of police social profiling and discrimination. This is a daily occurrence. #poverty is the byproduct of #capitalism. How can we survive as a people when we are all trying to out-do each other? #itstime #wWw #policediscrimination I only left Quebec after #gaypride was taking place across the street from me and not one person of their "oppressed" culture came to talk to me about discrimination or injustices. They were too busy buying over priced alcohol and celebrating their freedom. They want my support (which they have) but why wouldn't they help a brother out who is currently being discriminated against and alienated from society? (at Vieux - Quebec , Old Quebec City)
The Education of Sonny Carson should be a required movie shown to every kid growing up... The film explores challenges facing the African American population during their struggle to obtain civil rights, and sheds light on both political and social issues of the time such as poverty, drug abuse, and police discrimination and brutality... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #2020CAB #TheEducationOfSonnyCarson #SonnyCarson #GreatMovie #CivilRights #PoliticalIssues #SocialIssues #Poverty #DrugAbuse #PoliceBrutality #PoliceDiscrimination #GangViolence #Redemption #America #US #AfricanAmerican #Black #MustSee #Movie #Film #Kids #GrowingUp #Learning #BeALeaderNotAFollower
