My Polin x Pokemon artworks here are not supposed to exist; they are unplanned. Here's how it started: there was a competition on best Colin outfit from the Polinversary admins on Twitter. I so badly wanted the hand cut outfit to win because it fits the conture of Colin's body and he looks so goddamn adorable, like an awkward duckling. And so, I impulsively persuaded the Polin community that if the hand cut outfit wins, I'll draw Polin based on the hand cut scene, but as Pokemon. It did win. 😅
I was esctatic about it. But I recounted that I'll draw them if the outfit wins, so I've made my promise. I even did two Polin x Pokemon artworks, Lessons and Hand Cut scenes, which is a great achievement. :)))
In the first drawing, I made Colin pose like a baby girl, with blushes when he's happy to see Pen and making her feel comfortable around him. In the second drawing, Colin looks teary eyed, like he is grateful for the help; he seems to feel awkward now when he's near Pen since she has read his private journal. He is showing his vulnerability towards her. In both drawings, I made Colin's yellow rings glow (a new skill I learnt), as if he is slowly falling in love with Pen without realising it, like the moon reflecting the sunlight (which resonates to his love declaration for Pen: "my feelings for Penelope are not a thunderbolt from the sky").
I still cannot put Jigglypuff in a dress; it's impossible. 😭 So I drew a shawl and hair accessories on her instead. I also include my favourite quotes from Polin on the first artwork, because they are my favourite Awkward Ducklings. :))) 🐥🐤
I'm not very good at drawing backgrounds and still life. 😅 But I am trying my best. :)))
Hidden Easter egg: in the first drawing, I put some trophies on the mantel shelf showcasing the Pokemon types for the Bridgerton Eeveelutions (or Bridgerteons 😉). Each trophy indicates an Eeveelution based on their type, with the numbers shown below; these are the orders of the season for each Bridgerton sibling as the main focus, with seasons 5-8 as my speculations.
