Matt walsh thinks that his mother calling him a smart boy when he was a child meant he really was the smartest person ever.

Matt often describes himself as an intelligent person, even going as far as to say that he was the most intelligent student in school. But I find that hard to believe when seeing his arguments in "Am I racist?"

You would assume a smart person could interrogate the argument of whoever he disagrees with, and then come to a meaningful conclusion. But what he does in the mockumentary is just reaffirm his original position without trying to understand the points hes so passionately against. He's at most able to show how corny some of the people involved in DEI training spaces and industry are, but other than that, his other main points are either based off personal experiences, not data, or general purposeful strawmen.

And it would be easy to critique various DEI advocates for being unable to properly transmit their ideas, not explaining themselves beyond their main statement, or how many concentrate systemic injustices in the hands of the worker but not their employer, ignoring the clear economic hierarchy present in between them. But that isnt a critique of DEI itself as it is its implementation and who have coaxed the movement to strip it from any intersectionality. Is it?

Matt has explained his main critique of *Actual* DEI, and it's not very good, it rests on the argument that to include more people would require the lowering of standards, he states that there were no problems with the system placed beforehand and the reason for the underepresentation of these races and groups was..... because.

But why would they need to lower the standards? because theyre black and women? because they're not white? His argument explaining the lack of representation before dei is clearly idiotic and willfully ignorant as it does not take into account the consequences of systemic injustices against various marginilized groups, which left them poor and in unsafe conditions, they had no resources to access the education or spaces required for these jobs. his grieviences are even more noticible in his video talking about an airplane accident, in which he practically states this, just, not as honest, of course.

In that video he assumes the copilot, who the crash was partially the fault of, is black.

They had a tipically european name and he presented no evidence for them being black, it was just based on vibes (and his racist bias.)
