A blue shimmering light moves across the purple sky above, dancing with countless of twinkling sparks. You've been taught they're souls of those passed. If you're lucky, they may offer guidance or shine a light in the dark when you can't see the path ahead.

There are brighter sparks that do not dance. Those sparks are what you search for—what you all search for. As gates to other realms, they hold so much of your past secret. Even the realm you live in holds secrets from you in the depths where gigantic skeletons of unknown creatures rest.

For some time now, you've been waiting to get out there and explore. What if you're the one who finds a realm and gets to navigate there with the Captain? Maybe you'd even get to build your own vessel and take your group of searchers out there.

One group will head out once more on a long journey to try and find the realm with a great tree told to give life. Another will travel to one of sand with many secrets. The third will try and find the burning realm.

With the power of polls I will be "writing-on-the-fly" for a choose your own adventure story. I'll aim for about 1k words per "decision." Today is March 28, 2020. It's currently 3:46 AM. You couldn't sleep, so you went for a walk, and came across that really awesome store that passes through sometimes. You just wanted to window shop and weren't really planning on buying anything, but you just couldn't pass up that Gameboy cartridge. You haven't played a pokemon game since you were a kid, and one of your supposed friends stole your copy of Yellow. That nostalgia was really calling to you. Practically pulsing from within the cartridge. Telling you to pick it up. It's green and just has "Pokemon" written on the front in faded sharpie, there's a good chance it's just some bootleg or rom-hack, but you don't care. You just hope it works, now that you're looking at it in the bright light of the parking garage, you can see that it looks a little chewed on. That's probably why the store owner advised against buying it, but it's worth a try. What do you have to lose?

You dig out your old Gameboy Color, pop some new batteries in, and try the cartridge. Lo and behold, it works! The title screen immediately pops up. It doesn't prompt you to press start, and the options to continue or start a new game never appear. It has already begun.
