This article is about a women and her girlfriend and their poly-amorous relationship. She goes on to describe the dynamic between her and her girlfriend’s relationship and hoe they have gotten to the space they are in now (they’re approaching their 4 year anni).
After reading the ethical slut I have never viewed monogamy the same again, not to say I viewed it in the conventional sense to begin with. Concepts and lifestyles such as these and many others have always interested me because I see the world in different hues, nothing is concrete to me just different shades of life. And so, reading this article reinforced my idea that, a majority of the way we live our lives and the decisions we make are due to a deep rooted programming we have.
If we were able to break down the deep seeded conceptions of what it means to be in a relationship...”committed” relationship, I do believe the world would be a better place. Consider the saying “some people aren’t meant to be faithful”, maybe the case is some people aren’t meant to be monogamous.
