Feast East 2012
A few weeks ago I exhibited for the first time at Feast East in Linton, Cambridge. The event was held at Chilford Hall and for one weekend housed nearly 90 local food producers. It was like an Aladdin’s Cave of beautifully produced foods, passionate foodies using locally produce and I loved it!
Being based in such a small village it was a surprise to find a fellow Polstead producer. Keeley and John Bennett were at the event with Keeley’s beautiful homemade pickles and chutneys. With a beautiful product and slick branding I am in no doubt my fellow Polstead producer will go far.
For the few weeks running up to the event I hummed and hawed about what to take with me, but finally decided on taking a range of macaroons, cake truffles, biscuits and shortbread. I had very positive feedback from both trade and public and the event was a great success. I was also very pleased with the coverage I got in the business section of the East Anglian Daily Times, a link to the story is here:

Feast East is the first of several large events I will be attending over the next few months, local country shows, Olympic events, I literally can’t wait!
