Jealous Skizz,,, those are his two old farts <3
Kane and their dads :)
Dadsona finds out he's pregnant, and decides to keep it a secret until he plans out how to tell (dad). (Dad) notices the symptoms and finds out that dadsona has been seeing a doctor, but instead determines that dadsona is dying. How they react to this, and how they react when dadsona reveals the truth
“If you’re okay with it: Omegaverse AU where Dadsona is pregnant. (And they’re all in a huge pack) Are there bets? Subtle posturing over who the father is?”
Please note that this prompt fill includes mpreg, unless you read Dadsona as trans, and some NSFW talk (as in, talking about sex and heats)! - Mod Mare
The firstthing you see upon returning from the doctor’s appointment is all your sevenalphas crowding around your couch, all with serious faces like it’s anintervention. The only thing that’s missing is—
“Didn’t have the money tobuy a banner,” Robert says.
“Robert,” Hugo scolds.
Robert holds up his hands inmock-surrender and sinks down further into the couch. You notice all of themare tense, some more visibly than the others, and they look downright… worried.“What’s wrong, guys?” You ask and put down your bag. With them occupying thecouch and surrounding area, the only place to sit is a chair someone took fromthe kitchen, right in front of them. You feel scrutinised, like an animal atthe zoo, and squirm. If they notice your discomfort, whatever bothers them ismore important at the moment.
“You’re not breaking up withme, are you?” The mere suggestion brings varying looks of horror to theirfaces. You unconsciously mimic Robert’s gesture from before and hold up yourhands. “Just asking. Spit it out, guys, you’re making me nervous.”
The Alphas exchange looks, whose meaning you cannot interpret. Then, Matspeaks up. “We know that you being ourOmega doesn’t mean we have a right to know everything—“
“But we want to know what the fuck’s going on,”Robert interrupts. Damien shoots him a disapproving look.
“What do you mean?” You ask, furrowing your browsin confusion.
“You’ve been acting weird lately,” Josephbegins. “Your eating habits have changed. You’re eating healthier and less.”
“You take your drinks without caffeine,” Matadds. “Pablo told me you always ask for the ingredients of foodstuff before youbuy it. You never did that before.”
“You don’t go running with me anymore, bro.” Craiglooks at you in concern, the intensity of his gaze making your heart swell. They figured it out. From what they’re describing, everyone would figure outwhat’s up with you. “And I heard you throw up a few times early in the morning, when you slept over at my place.”
You remember; Craig asked you, back then, ifeverything was okay and you’d said yes, blaming what you had eaten the nightbefore for the nausea. Seems like he didn’t believe you.
“Furthermore,” Damien continues, “you tend toeasily tire. That level of fatigue is far from normal, I believe.”
“Don’t forget the mood swings.” Robert plays withhis glass, making the amber liquid splash around a little. For a moment, you’reconcerned, but he notices your look and shakes his head with a faint smile.Must be apple juice, then. “Kid went from laughing to crying during the moviefaster than a damn cheetah.”
“Smell’s changed too.” Brian taps hisnose. The other dads nod in agreement. Quizzically, you sniff your arm, butcan’t notice anything out of the ordinary. “Subtly, but it’s gradually beengetting stronger.”
“Also, I could see your phone reminder for adoctor’s appointment.” At your expression, Joseph puts a hand on his chest. “Ididn’t go looking for it, Y/N. It flashed, I couldn’t have missed it.”
It seems they’re done presenting your symptoms toyou. They look at you expectantly. You cock your head to the side, lookingback. Hugo breaks first. “Y/N, please just tell us what’s wrong. You’re sick! We… we need to know. We tried not to jump to conclusions, but the evidence, your methodical attempts to hide it from us, we could—“
“Are you dying??”The other dads look at Brian, who blushes a little and rubs the back of hishead. “Sorry.”
You’re pretty sure you’re gaping. A few minutes, the room is silent, before you break the quiet with a nervous laugh. YourAlphas exchange nervous looks. “Y/N, I’m sorry if this comes out of nowhere, orif you’d rather not talk about it, but…”
You wave your hand about to interrupt Damien. Ittakes you some time, but you eventually manage to calm down again. Wiping tearsfrom your eyes, you take in their confused faces and chuckle. “First of all,I’m not dying. I’m not sick.”
“But—“
You glare and Craig shuts up. Whoever said Alphasare in charge had clearly never been in a relationship before. “Let me throw yourobservations back at you, maybe you’ll figure it out on your own. My eatinghabits have changed. I watch my diet more closely, now, avoid certain thingslike caffeine. I don’t work out anymore. I throw up in the mornings. I tiremore quickly. You think I have mood swings—“
“You do,” Robert interrupts. Your indignant huffonly makes him grin harder.
“—and my smell changes.” Making a show of it, youtap your chin, humming and awing. “I wonder what it could be, six weeks aftermy heat.”
For parents, it takes them a while. You canpinpoint the exact order they realise. Mat jumps to his feet with wide eyesthat sparkle, hopeful. “Are you… are you pregnant?”
Smiling, you nod. A second later you findyourself in the centre of a cuddle pile of excited Alphas. They nearly squishyou, but you find their scents and warmth comforting and enjoy the attention. You must have tuned out their conversation, because when you notice they’retalking, they’re already in the middle of a discussion.
“Clearly, it’s going to be mine.”
“What makes you say that, Brian?”
“Because, dear Damien, I’m the most Alpha of usall, so my sperm would be the most potent!”
They can’t possibly bearguing about that…??
“That might be,” Robert says in a tone of voicethat makes clear he disagrees, “but I took the kid more often than any of you.”
“Not true,” Craig protests.
“What, were you counting?”
Mat, Hugo and Damien are holding back, comparedto the more assertive and competitive of the dads, more amused than invested inthe topic. But then Damien surprises you by piping up, interrupting Craig andRobert’s one on one. “I daresay I believe I will be the father. It is but afeeling, but a strong one.”
“Nah, man, want to bet? Twenty on me.”
“Betting is hardly appropriate for an occasionlike this.” You can practically hear Hugo push up his glasses. There’s silence. You crane your neck but can only see some of the dads look at Hugo, but nottheir faces. “I’m in,” Hugo eventually says. “If we’re discussing who’s themost Alpha, how about the tallest in the room?”
“I’m taller than you!” There’s shuffling, whichprobably means Brian and Hugo are standing nose-to-nose, trying to figure itout.
“Why are you bothering, guys? I told you, Ifucked Y/N more often than any of you. Best chance.”
“And I’m still telling you that’s not true.”
“Guys!” Joseph interjects. The quarrelling dads fall silent. “Itdoesn’t matter who sired the child – the child will be ours. Every one ofus.” He pauses. “But chances are they’ll be from the guy with themost children, so me.”
Immediately, the others get loud again. You can feel a headache form andannoyance rise up your throat. “We’ll know once they are born! Not that it matters!” Youpractically yell. Blessed, pleasant silence once more. “Now shut up aboutit and cuddle me.”
Theyhappily oblige. You act like you can’t see money wander over to Damien, who, itseems, was elected treasurer.
Imagine that in this world, everyone is born with their soulmate’s signature on their chest. Imagine that some people have several soulmates. Some people might lose their soulmate because of death or meeting someone else and gaining their signature instead of the old one or by simply growing apart (having a person’s signature is no guarantee for happiness!).
Now, imagine you (MC/Dadsona) used to have your spouse’s signature, but now it has faded away, since the spouse died. Imagine moving to the cul-de-sac, where you meet all the other dads.
Imagine waking up one morning, to find your chest covered in seven different signatures. A few are illegible, but some, you recognise. Hugo, Damien, Brian- The concept of having more than one soulmate is not unheard of, but seven at once? Understandably, you are shocked. Maybe scared, too. There are, after all, one-sided soul bonds too.
So you don’t say anything. You notice the other dads growing closer to each other - Hugo and Damien seem to be openly dating, Robert and Craig hang out a lot - so you wonder whether they found each other and you’re just the odd one out. It’s making you sad, and you are even less outgoing than usual (a rejected soul bond, even if they don’t actually know, always hurts).
Until one day Amanda drags you along to Joseph’s barbeque. You don’t really intermingle and keep to yourself, and the other dads notice, but you answer their questions if you are fine with a half-hearted smile and assurances.
Imagine, then, that you’re searching for a quiet corner and- You bump into someone. They pour soda all over you. Before you can really protest, Craig has pulled your shirt off so they can get you something dry. Everyone freezes. Your signatures.
You don’t know what to say and seriously consider hiding, but your feet won’t co-operate, and suddenly someone is hugging you, and then there are more people joining in, until all seven of the dads are holding you close. They all look so happy.
That’s when you find out they all have each other’s marks as well, yours included. They only didn’t recognise it, because your handwriting is horrible. You were what’s missing.
