Summary: Tamlin was always taught that strength came from silence. Lucien believed survival came from deflection. In the early days of Spring Court rule, after the war but before the curse, the three of them find themselves tangled in late-night talks, shared burdens, and the kind of lingering touches that say more than words. But politics, trauma, and fear make it too easy to pretend it's nothing. That itโs safer that way. Until Andras is nearly killed on a mission he volunteered forโbecause he thought Tamlin wouldnโt ask, and Lucien wouldnโt stop him. And they realize, all too suddenly, that theyโve been brave in battle, brave in leadershipโbut not brave enough to choose each other. Now they must face the hardest question: is loving each other worth the risk? And can three broken souls find the courage to stay, not just for the court, but for one another ?
