This always sucks to deal with. Honestly, I would just cut the cord. It’s much easier to just flat out block someone who is giving you iffy vibes than worry over it.

This is for your own comfort and that’s far more important than maintaining some internet etiquette and being nice everyone who follows you.

It’s up to you and you call your own shots, my friend.
