WHY ISNT THERE MORE ELENA OF AVALOR POLY!?

Okay so like, obviously, Elena had chemistry with all 3 of them (Naomi, Gabe, Mateo)
I love Elena and Naomi's friendship and I love their interactions and I just!!! They support each other and the vibes are there and wlw!?!?
Elena and Gabe was my main ship as a child (sucker for princess x knight tropes). Plus they're both powerful (power couple frfr) and I could see Gabe grounding her and I just have a lot of thoughts
Elena and Mateo are obviously widely shipped, and for good reason. I thought they were canon lol. I love them and I just love their vibe and it was my first introduction to that type of ship [awkward(?) guy x badass girlboss]. Mateo is also a girlboss but still.
And like, that's enough for me to poly ship them, y'know? Make it a V-shaped poly, but with 4 people. HOWEVER THE GANG HAS SO MUCH CHEMISTRY WITH EACH OTHER TOO!!!
Mateo x Gabe was my first mlm ship. They had such rivals to lovers/rivals and lovers potential. I love whenever they're on screen. (Also I'm just a sucker for love rivals to lovers trope but still)
Gabe x Naomi was like an unexpected ship but I love all their interactions frfr. I especially loved that one scene with the pirate (?) ship where they protected each other. Fuzzy memory but even fuzzier feelings. They feel fuzzy (good) to me.
Naomi x Mateo!! I loved how they knew each other as kids, and I wish that was explored more frfr. Not much in canon but I love imagining their interactions with one another. Girlboss x geek nerd frfr. I may be mischaracterizing but HSJAHDGALKAKA

Picrews of the polyamigos kids (using this picrew) in birth order: María, Sebastián, Eliana, Rebeca, Rocío, Felipe. Since picrews have kinda limited differentiation, I’ll explain more of their designs.
María: Curly black hair, worn mid-back length and half up in a bun. Dark brown eyes, second-darkest skin tone after the twins. A little taller than Elena. Wears mainly dark red and pink, with blue accents.
Sebastián: Very curly dark brown hair, worn short with the long front ‘Flores swoop’. Hazel eyes, third-darkest/lightest skin tone. Mateo’s height. Wears mainly orange and cream, with red and gold accents.
Eliana: Wavy auburn hair with side bangs, worn up in a bun. Brown eyes, second-lightest skin tone, noticeably lighter than Sebastián. Elena’s height. Wears mainly lavender with gray and navy blue accents.
Rebeca/Rocío: Curly dark brown hair, worn in a mid-back length braid for Rebeca and chin length for Rocío. Brown eyes, darkest skin tone, a bit darker than Mateo. A little shorter than Naomi. Rebeca wears mainly indigo and brown with gold accents, Rocío wears mainly soft green with chartreuse and aqua accents.
Felipe: Straight dark brown hair, worn slightly long and grown out as an adult. Green eyes, lightest skin tone, though still darker than Naomi. Gabe’s height. Wears mainly aqua with white and navy blue accents.

❤ - favorite ships?
polyamigos! and by extension any combination of those 4 characters, in any arrangement. like, just each possible combo has its own unique dynamic to explore, and they all have such close bonds in the text of the show already, and just! I love these kids and want them all to be happy together!
I also have a soft spot for Rafictor, which currently holds the honor of being the only amigo-less ship I've actively sought content for. There's some good comedic potential there with the Delgado-de Alva step-family dynamic, as well as potential for some good second-partner-learning-to-love-again fluff. (Isa/Cat is also good bc Science GFs though I'm pretty sure no one has actually made content for them, rip, if you know of some, please point me toward it)
👑- favorite character?
Mateo, no question! He actually currently holds the title of "my favorite character from anything ever", not just in EoA, a title previously held so tightly by Peridot from Steven Universe that I was genuinely a little surprised when she was unseated so easily.
I mean, his first minute or so of screentime in First Day of Rule has him: get really excited about seeing Elena, infodump a bunch, fall off a ladder, whack himself in the head, and tell a bad pun, and I think around that point my exact thought was "oh no, he's endearing" and the rest was history.
(and then we got to know him better and he had an especially relatable set of character flaws and an excellent arc about gaining confidence in his abilities and a lot of unexplored depth re: the fact that he is the Only Wizard in Avalor for most of the show and the kind of pressure that has to have put on him and it's no wonder he spends so much of the show so insecure but then he finally comes into his own and this is all visually symbolized with his costume upgrade in s3 and *deep breath* i have so many Thoughts on Mateo you guys I could gush about him for hours)
