First and foremost, be willing to listen to and learn from the person or people you know who identify as polyamorous or non-monogamous. Most likely, they’re submerged in a process of figuring out their thoughts and desires for themselves, and could use a sympathetic ear. Non-monogamy naturally means more relationship issues and difficult situations than usual. One of the kindest acts you can do for your poly loved ones and friends is to reserve judgment and let them discuss these things on their terms.
