second set of characters are actually inhabitants of the magic world that's part of Polymajam's story, you might recognize these designs from the bug-inspired thumbails I shared a few. months ago

hope this is enough for like, another two weeks or so (main characters render will come sooner I prommy)

Polymajam's major power system and antagonistic force. these are just the Clow Cards from ccs but if they were trinkets.

The treasures were created by a witch from the magical world mentioned in a previous post about the magical characters. They were meant to aid in the understanding and teaching of magic, but were left unfinished due to mysterious circumstances regarding their creator. They are alive, but their ego were suppressed, however once stranded in the human world, they begin developing their nature through dreams and nightmares, turning their powers haywire and turning most into monsters.

Some of the treasures attach themselves to objects, attaching their own suppressed ego onto them. some monsters are actually fully awake, and are actively protecting themselves through outward aggression. Some treasures attach themselves to living beings, expressing their powers with or without their users' knowledge or intent.

aforementionned project from that last post: might as well present this whole thing for clarity, this is the magical girl project I've been working on for the past few months or so, and which I'll conceptualize fully in the coming weeks to hopefully put in a portfolio. for now, it's named "Polymajam"

the concept was inspired by Cardcaptors, the Cardcaptor Sakura localization that shifted the show's framing by putting both mc's as equal rivals (instead of. yknow. Sakura as the sole focus), which inspired this magical girl team made less of themed gruop, more crossover episode, with all protags gaining powers thru different means. it's mostly Cardcaptor Sakura as framing (magic items dispersed in their hometown) mixed with Ojamajo Doremi (recuring magical otherworld), with more recent watches mixed in for flavor
