Jon grew up floating from place to place. Never really finding a place to call home. His Grandmother didn't really want him. She just wanted to save her daughter from the mistake that was made. Even while in Uni with Georgie he still felt like a ghost most days. Until He met Tim and Sasha. He was drawn into Sasha first. She was quieter than Tim and more witty. She drew him in like a moth to a flame he couldn't get enough of her. His relationship with Tim was slower. Tim was too loud too bright. He was someone Jon loved but felt like he was never able to touch. They had a home for a while they were reaserchers. Then Gertrude died and everything changed. Jon became promoted to archivist (tho logicaally it should've went to Sasha). Martin was also introduced. I feel like Tim was the closest to Martin first tho Sasha eventually fell too. We all knew Jon couldn't stand him. He was scared of losing his home. He was harsh and unforgiving towards Martin despite the pleading from his partners. I would like to think that after Martin moved into the archives they got closer and eventually he felt like home too. Then Prentiss happened. Sasha died, then Tim, Then Martin disapeard. Martin was never the same after he came back. As much trust was still there it would never be the same. Maybe Jonathan Sims was never meant to have a home.
