I keep seeing Unspecified Brown Man Jonathan Sims so I'm deciding that he's Indian now. One of his parents' family lived in the UK for a few generations and the other was pretty much one parent who recently emigrated. His Grandma was of the family that had been in the UK for a while and had assimilated pretty much. Not much was left from the Indian Immigrant side of the family after his parents died, cause it was just the one parent who moved to the UK and the rest of his family is somewhere in New Delhi.

Anyways, I'm gonna draw Martin and Jon getting married and im wondering if Jon should be wearing the clothes of an Indian groom or bride cause Indian wedding dresses and jewelry are GORGEOUS and I don't think he'd mind. Martin can wear a kilt ig.

Hello! Back to ramble about Magnus Archives again with a pretty (imo) cool headcanon!

So you know how the Spiral is insanity right? Or well, the fear of insanity. Do you think it's possible for it to... Say, gift (curse) someone sanity as well?

Like, no matter what you go through, no matter how much bullshit the Fears put you through, you can never take refuge in forgetting or going insane from it until you forget you were even there.

Sanity despite everything isn't as good as you think it is, because funnily enough, you NEED some insanity in your life to cope with things.

Got this headcanon from the Percy Jackson fanfic Gold Heart by gardengalaxy on ao3 where, while the world was ending, Dionysus gave Percy the gift of Sanity just before the god died. Percy was both grateful and resentful of Dionysus for doing it. He was the last person alive and he couldn't even take comfort in going insane from it.

It'll be so cool to read a fanfic where a person has to go through the entire Eyepocalypse with full sanity.

I just think it would be cool if the Spiral could do that.

in keeping with the fanon of 'jon is desi' and 'his hair in s4 is egregiously long' (maybe he cuts it in the cottage in s5?? maybe he doesn't??? personally i think he doesn't because i <3 long hair jon): i think mr jonathan sims oils his hair

like i think this was something he has fond memories of his mom doing for him when he was young (possibly his grandmother on occasion, but she was established to be pretty inattentive) and after the Horrors start in season 1 (maybe after the prentiss attack?) he turns back to it for some semblance of comfort and normalcy

he probably stopped after being clown-napped by nikola bc the residue reminded him too much of moisturizer

but then in the scottish safehouse period, martin finds him staring at this glass bottle of rosemary oil he's kept for god knows how long and (after a moderately embarrassed explanation on jon's part) offers to do it for him and it's a very sweet lil moment that works its way into his routine

Not exactly, I think? I do have some headcanons that don't seem to be very common (made posts for almost all of them, actually! Martin does not like valentine's day, Jon is demiromantic, Jon used to hate watch Melanie's videos and Annabelle does eye make up in all her eyes and Tim would love Rocky Horror) but I wouldn't say any of them are very specific (at least, most of them aren't)

I also headcanon that Jon used to enjoy horror media until he started going through The Horrors ™️and that Michael Shelley's hair wasn't curly, that's a Distortion/Spiral thing
