Ship and Let Ship...
Sure, depending on the ship and the shippers. Some shippers are more down to earth than others, some care more about their ship than the story.
If you can't separate your ship from the story, preventing discussions because you don't like the love interest and trope the story was going for. Then that causes problems.
Polytrix is a guilty pleasure. You want to ship, ship it despite the movie telling you that isn't Huntrix relationship. There are more relationships besides romantic and Huntrix is platonic.
There are more relationships than romantic.
