Some time ago I sent a question about your opinions about an OC with Take Over magic, but I'm thinking of changing it. I came up with an idea of a holder magic OC, who uses elemental crystals to imbue weapons/armors with said element. The limitation with it would be what elements she can use, and a reason behind them (i.e. there wouldn't be a water crystal, because crystalized water is ice), and tht she can only use two elements at a time. Any feedback you can give?
Hello! This is very neat! But I feel as if it would turn into a copycat of lacrima. As we’ve seen with Laxus, the crystal can be charged with energy to suit the user’s flavour. So in essence the lacrima can be used to create different elemental weapons.
BUT!!! It doesn’t mean it’s a bad idea, it just might need to be adjusted! What if your character knew of a way to create lacrima, or perhaps their own concoction of lacrima? Taking the crystals that have different elemental energies and combining them into a shape or their guild symbol. Then you could have them carry different weapons with the same carved out slot of the crystal, so they can pop the lacrima in and fight! Switching weapons if need be.
