The Antonio & Rita Pomerleau Foundation Neighborhood Park- Burlington, VT
One of the oddest pocket parks I have ever seen is located in the parking lot of a supermarket in Burlington, Vermont. Antonio and Rita Pomerleau, two well known philanthropists in the city, requested the addition of the park and commissioned the structure to Burlington City Arts. The result is a small roadside attraction that features half human/half bird-like gargoyle figures perched on stone walls and atop columns. Odd is the only word to describe this Vermont diversion.
