Eddie can’t help the laugh that he lets out as soon as she asks. It was rude and if his Uncle were sitting there he would’ve gotten a dirty look or a swat on the back of his head for being so rude. He just can’t wrap his head around the idea he can’t believe she’d ask. “I’m sorry that was mean I didn’t mean it like that if it were anything else I would’ve said yes right away.” They were friends, something he hadn’t expected when he left school, that any friends besides his band and the club would still be there. Still they were friends and he should be more supportive so he drops the smile.

“I just- I’m not the type to go to high school reunions, I mean I didn’t even get an invite.” He thinks that’s because someone popular was in charge of it and accidentally forgot his invite. He doesn’t mind though he would stay in his little apartment in Indianapolis as far away from the Hawkins and its mean kids even if those mean kids did have 10 years to grow out of it. He doubts it though none of them screamed forgive and forget. “Okay okay- if it’s really that important to you I’ll go visit my uncle and we can split a hotel room or something. I’ll be nearby for emotional support but I won’t have to look at any of their ridiculous faces.”

Eddie was tending to his bruised face and knuckles, he’d had another, disagreement, with the jocks, when he noticed Chrissy offering him something, “what’s this?” He asked before taking it and looking the pick over, that was when it dawned on him what she had given him, “wait, is this...how the hell did you get this?!”
