// Psst... Guess what, everyone? It's pondblog's birthday. She's awesome and you should totally tell her so. ;)
Who does the washing up? The TARDIS, the humans, or the Time Lords?
Technically… the Tardis does. See, she’s got these… eggs
They can make anything out of anything, so the dishes just get disintegrated back into base matter, and re-build the dishes each night. Course no matter how often I tell everyone that once a week we end up with this….
Got any crushes?
Don’t tell Amy, but….
Sorry I'm so late Amy!
But I brought ice cream!
And I found a soda with Mels name on it!
*Screams internally for you and Amy!Mun* SO JEALOUS!!! And Karen even tweeted about Amy!Mun's Nebula!! -- HatEnthusiast!Anon.
// I KNOW!!! I thought Amy!Mun was gonna faint! Seriously, we were cheering for her so hard. She did so much work on that costume and she barely got 4 hours of sleep before having to wake up super early and start putting everything on for the day. And she NAILED IT. Watching Karen gasp and fawn over it when we slipped into the photo op area was priceless!! And I wish I’d been at the panel when she got called onstage. Seriously, everyone, Amy!Mun is the QUEEN.
5, 17, 29!
// 5: A song that needs to be played LOUD
Blood Stain Child - “Stargazer”
17: A song that would sing a duet with on karaoke
SO MANY. Um… Eurythmics - “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)”
29: A song that you remember from your childhood
The Monkees - “Cheer Up, Sleepy Jean”. First song I ever sang at karaoke. I was 5.
According to my calculations it should still be the proper holiday for her, and so I did want to take this opportunity to wish a very happy Mother's Day to the best mother an imperfect daughter never expected or even hoped to have.
In all seriousness, you were my mother even when you didn't know it, and given all the stress I put you through you still were there to play damage control. You stuck by my side and thought highly enough of me to, well, name me. I know it wasn't the motherhood you wanted, but it was the childhood I needed. If I hadn't been able to meet you and Rory; to learn from you both and get a bit of perspective and hope... I would not be who I am. I would have been nothing more than a tool, without want for forgiveness or a future.
Most daughters say it, but they don't mean it quite like I do. My mother is my best friend.
...But that doesn't mean she's getting out of embarrassing throwback photos.
Happy Mother's Day. I'll bring the wine.
