(1/2) Concluding this week's post on making a silk mat: After trimming excess silk from the center of the mat, Phil takes the original mat board center and presses it into the bevel of the silk-covered mat –the two are exact opposite shapes, so this helps seal the silk against the bevels. #1920s rare #pongee tissue silk robe with traditional #Japanese floral motif on a light beige background.
