A something for me because I’m feeling gritty. xD

So earlier this year, @goombot/AQM-Mod posted a prompt in her Discord server, one of which was a VillainAU prompt. I took my happy workaholic doctor and my pacifist werebat boy and gave them the villainous treatment! c: The rest of the post under a Keep Reading is some long stuff to go with the pictures. Also Chiro/Alvaro looks pretty good with facial hair. owo

Villain!Aureline: If she'd caved to the monster within instead of sticking to her humanity and the Hippocratic Oath, she'd be one of the most dangerous people to vampires and humans alike. Her knowledge of the vampire virus and overall human anatomy/biology, coupled with a complete lack of empathy (like actual empathy and not her bloodline's ability to sense other people's feelings) and drive to further her own banks of knowledge, means literally anyone and everyone is a potential test subject. And forget that power trip nonsense that Big Bads generally go on when they get their Good Guy opponents. Once the testing is done, so are you. Permanently. And she doesn't have to sleep if she's unharmed. She can keep working as long as she takes a moment to feed. Villain!Aurie wouldn't have to leave a live subject while tests are being run. Oh! The werebeasts of her world wouldn't be safe either. She'd almost gun exclusively for them in order to improve her understanding of their condition by any means. ANY means necessary. Given a vampire with that level of knowledge of how everyone ticks on a biological level, the ability to feel the emotions of another party, and the scientific thoroughness to see through every step of her plots; she would be very dangerous and very difficult to stop by any of the factions. The one major flaw that could be exploited against her, is that she can get sucked into a project. Exploit her tendency to get tunnel vision, and that could lead to her downfall.

Villain!Alvaro:  He might be the guy rejected from all three societies. Human-passing but monster underneath; werebeast but bloodthirsty; vampiric but seen as powerless and inferior. Internalizing that feeling of not belonging anywhere would make him a true loner. Sure, still savvy enough with words to get close, but closed off too much to do anything but kill or permanently mutilate for the scorn he's suffered. Too suspicious of anyone and everyone to be willing to change. He'd be unafraid to feed on humans, particularly vicious towards his own kind, and see vampires as a blight. Not quite the supervillain tendency of Villain!Aureline, but certainly recurring thorn-in-the-side. And because he's werebeast, he would know that he would make more feral werebats by simply biting humans. Would he care? No one is sure. But he does carry a knife he stole from a high-ranking vampire to bleed people with. He is mindful enough not to make his existence so easily known.

Meet Katharine Schneider of Acheron

The vampire before the grumpy old blue vampire pony with a short haircut and no patience for frivolity. In slightly anachronistic clothing for the period this version existed, but I don’t care~

So yes! Kat used to smile and not mean to murder you! She used to have more emotions than “I’ll end you” and “Try me, whelp.” She used to actually feel things!~ That was before The Incident(tm) though. 

I’d love to delve into her past more but I’m keeping this post short. So it was really weird to draw her with what I’d consider “unusual” expressions for her. But she used to be soft and not a b*tch! c:

Pony!Soren Refsheet, 2020 edition~

Another of my ponified cast, a ice mage who also kinda dabbles a bit in blood magic, Soren!~ I decided that giving her an appaloosa blanket over her rump to look like an ice cap was appropriate, as well as making the tip of her horn white, too! She used to have no markings at all, besides the tattoos on her forelegs.  She comes from a region made up of shattered kingdoms constantly vying to reunite under myriad banners, and hers was recently subjugated by the neighboring kingdom. Soren led a band of rebels that tried to keep people from bowing to their new royalty, but that went south and a demon summoning by her country’s royalty has set her up with her former enemies and captor to close the gates to the hellplanes. It’s fun stuff! :D

Her ice magic is tied pretty tightly to her emotions. It takes conscious effort to keep frost from climbing up her limbs when she’s nervous or upset. It forms into weaponry or claws when she perceives a threat to herself or nearby allies. When a big burst of magic is about to happen, she’ll exhale a cloud of cold vapor. Really she’s still just a kid thrust into a war against the inhabitants of the hellscapes. xD

Pony!Vess Refsheet, 2020 edition~

It was about time that the pony version of my high-fantasy vampire Vessinia Falke got an updated ref. Her old was was like... Oh gosh. Four years old? Ancient, either way. lol

So pony!Vess got an update to her tattoo, a better rendition of her scars, and dark points and a face stripe! c: And a way heckin’ better attempt at her hair. I love this vampire gal, I really do~ She’s such a great character to write and a really fun foray into the Relucant Vampire Who’s Not So Bad trope. Like, “Yeah, I’m a vampire. No, I can’t help that I am. No, I’m in control of my instincts. Yeah, I’ll protect people, and especially from my own kind. Let me do my thing. ...Oh, yeah. I’m buddy-buddy with a Shadow Lord.”

My dang brain decided to hand control over to my dear old vampire, Katarina, after @bluebrush09arts drew me a little gift of her. (Thanks again Blu! <3) Not what I intended to do today, but what the hey, I’ve missed drawing the old girl and she kinda commandeered my attention this afternoon. <3 I need to draw her and those from her world more again. I miss them all.
