Vamptober 2020 - Day 1: Katarina & Adrian

Kicking this year off with my and my husband’s vampire power pair of the ZenVerse Supernatural Storyverse, Katarina Schneider and Adrian “Clankiller” Baker of Acheron!  These two ancient vampires work hand-in-glove to keep their kind and its existence from exposition to the mortal world. She, the gunner; he, the weapon. 

Honestly it’s just been such a long time since I drew the two together~ ‘Tis worth noting that Adrian does not technically belong to me, but to my Taller Half and partner in writing! <3

Meet Katharine Schneider of Acheron

The vampire before the grumpy old blue vampire pony with a short haircut and no patience for frivolity. In slightly anachronistic clothing for the period this version existed, but I don’t care~

So yes! Kat used to smile and not mean to murder you! She used to have more emotions than “I’ll end you” and “Try me, whelp.” She used to actually feel things!~ That was before The Incident(tm) though. 

I’d love to delve into her past more but I’m keeping this post short. So it was really weird to draw her with what I’d consider “unusual” expressions for her. But she used to be soft and not a b*tch! c:

Top left: Standard day-to-day “Oh really now?” Top right: A cold and dark night alone, with naught but bitter memories. Bottom right: A portrait, that’s all~ Bottom left: The face that the man she loved saw in the hour before his death.

I made meself a new pencil-y brush and I wanted to play with it some more. And I just love drawing these nasty mirthless smiles that mean “I’ll gut you.” I just. Do. c:

For the Interactions thing: I'd be interested to see how (Pony) Kat would react to meeting her creator- in the form of DeZendueye.

Honestly, the relationship between Kat and I is like, a weird rocky one. Lol Kat's hit a point where she's just used to me drawing her in whatever way is easiest for me. Am I a frustrating creator? Sure am! But truly that's probably how it would be for a lot of OCs and their creators.

Though at this point I've also worded things like she is her own entire person in my mind, one whom I've gotten to know like an old friend. A friend I'd be high-key paranoid of, but who chooses not to take out their anger on me, even if I am the direct cause of said anger lol

Vamptober: Day 3

It has been TOO long since I drew Katarina’s pony version! “But Zen wait why are her eyes green?” Aha! See, that’s my shtick this year~ Seeing how my non-pony vampires’ pony versions would look if they were part of my AU’s lore! Katarina would be an Oakheart lineage vampony if she adhered to my MLP AU. She’s sporting Blood Guard armor because I would rather draw armor than yet another Timber Wolf this year and that was my other idea for her. xD

Another pirate-ponyAU what-if scene, this time a standoff between two fanged and aggressive captains on opposite sides of the law! 

@bluebrush09arts‘s hunter Abyss, on deck of The Charon and face to face with her captain. We were talking about interesting situations between her characters and my pirateAU’d cast and I forget exactly what brought us onto the subject of Abyss and Kat crossing paths but this faceoff would be a thing if they did. x3  Of course, Kat over there being her usual condescending self. Got that whole, “You want to throw down? Think you can?” air going on.

But Blue says he’d most likely not try to have a throw down with an old vampire like her. x3 He’s a smart guy and can figure out what’s in his favor and what ain’t!

(also that BG was not intended to happen but it did and it came out pretty nice! c: )

I have missed drawing you, my most favorite fangfaced elitist bitch~

It’s been a while since I’ve been able to draw Katarina. I think the last time was around Christmas or so. I really wanted to draw something more complete but going that long without drawing a character’ll really knock you off-model (that’s my experience, anyway lol). So I doodle! I wanted to do a scene between her and Chiro/Alvaro but the anthro is not with me tonight. xD So expressions! c: I love using her hair wings to emote with~ Maybe I’ll clean some of these up, maybe I won’t, we’ll see!

Pony!Kat Refsheet 2018 edition~

I posted this one last year, but due to additions and changes it just seems more appropriate to reupload its rearranged and appended version than to redraw everything. xD

Changes from last year’s version: CM updated to new artwork, height chart/comparison removed, pendant detail added, additional anthro view added. The CM was the main reason for the update to Kat’s ref, since I recently completely remade the sword bit of it to not look like a silver pin with a yellow blob at one end.
