Scions Meeting Mitan's Husband
How do the Scions take to him when Mitan finally dares bringing him around?
Tataru is ever forward-thinking. She'll have the Carpenters outfitted by the time Mitan sets foot in Tural.
Y'shtola would prefer her tea time stayed quiet, but she was mannerly as one can be.
He may not fully understand him but felt the welcoming intent Urianger was attempting nonetheless.
Thancred forgets that Mitan can and will tell Ryne every embarrassing thing he says and does.
Alphinaud is ever polite, as much of a dork he comes off as.
G'raha is even more of a dork but too sweet to be faulted on it.
Alisaie is eager to pry more from her friend's less silent husband.
Estinien dislikes formalities, but he knows a man of physical prowess.
Krile seeks to fluster Mitan and expertly succeeds, as always.
It is safe to say that he knows she is in good, if daffy, hands.

Up and Away
A Pontan Tale
It was much colder than expected for Tuliyollan weather, but that was perhaps a personal experience.
Banned from even thinking about work, the Scions' once surefooted fighter was set to wander aimlessly. What was Mitan to do? She could return home, the lonesome walls almost suffocating her as she avoided her marital bed. Stepping into their bedroom after her dear husband's passing was no different than the edge of existence, that deep indescribable pain and fear that the air could thin at any moment.
Thus, here she was, having begged for time alone from her great aunt and parents in their attempts to coddle her. They had nearly halted their vacations for her plight and she would never forgive herself if they did so just to fuss over her. In some odd form, however, she wanted to be held, allowed to sob into their shoulders and curse fate for taking him away so soon. But what good is that? How unbecoming of her station would it be?
How upset it would make Beta if he knew she was so torn...
A bright glint of light stopped the Lalafellin lady in her trek, landing her steps near the Landsguard's entry. The lowering sun reflected the metals of the Mamool ja lighting the torch ahead of the nightfall, it seemed. How the light glimmered against the sky would have been poetic had she the mind for words, and the still air blew towards it like a signal to go forth. Her stride continued towards it as if called by its calm, her eyes stuck to the top even as she met with the entrance.
Her eyes only pulled away at the sound of the guard returning from the back and going past with a simple rushed greeting, into more pressing matters she'd assumed. She wasn't a stranger to the lot by this point, as much as she had made herself one in recent times. Wait… 'Wasn't the entrance the door at the front?'Rushing to the back of the building, Mitan peered around for anything suspicious only to find nothing. Except stepping planks. These have been seen before, since her honeymoon in Kugane. The Hostelry, the secret baths, the Fibers... All crafted climbs for adventurers she had done with her husband with faith that every step was in reach of his. Beta would give his handsome smile and insist they give it a try, even if it took over their plans. These were precious memories that sat in her heart, acts that could never be recreated or repeated. ... Couldn't they? Her small, shaking hand grasped the edge of the outcropped stone as the last of her reason seemed to store itself away. With the sun's glow turning her eyes to their reddish undertone, she fixed her gaze to the top and lifted herself up. Steps and leaps upwards, powered in determination she couldn’t control, landed with little deterrence. There was a fire sparked suddenly in her breast, a sensational force pushing her muscles to lunge farther. This was little work for a trained hunter, yet something was making her wary, keeping her unsure she could or would make the climb… Stopping in line for a steep jump, the blaze inside settled into the hollow space of her stomach. 'Why can't I do this… without him?' Thoughts rushing in made the wind ring in her ears as her head became heavy; falling would have been a fear had she not noticed the pace of her breaths. Placing her hands to her chest to guide her lungs into calming, the feel of her flawless band felt its coldest against her skin. Its usual warmth had faded to a dim sense of aether, but this was a new measure of emptiness. Her eyes shot open to the ledge ahead, and in the moment it became clear. Using her Lalafellin leg strength, she made the perilous jump to the thin platform... and landed. 'Why should I stop?' The next jump winded Mitan, but she did not let it end her path. 'He would never allow my fall...' She narrowly misses a plank but lands over the railings. It was over the midway, high enough to see the finish. 'If I can do this...' Each grab and step up felt heavier. "It can be just the same..." ... The air felt thin as struggled breaths pushed out of her lips. Turning to face the view snuffed out the flame in her belly but left a nauseous feeling. Of course, the chasm was beautiful, a marvel worthy of her canvas, but... was this truly the same? No. This was not a climb for Beta to show his dedication to leap toward dangers for his new and notable wife, nor was it a mere sight to see. There was never a time she had simply gone up on her own, always eager to take her husband, to share in the moment. For the first time since she had said her vows of love, she had the heart to face this alone. The fear she would leave him alone to face loss again was gone and, as the knots in her belly loosened, the sunset air became easier to breathe. The view, the climb towards it, and vast ocean that took him so swiftly all felt as one, parts in a tale she could share just as cheerfully as those before. Sat on the edge of the stone torch lid, it was odd to not reach over for a hand to grab. However, the dull warmth returned to her hand, and for that moment... She was not alone.
"The Beta Problem"
((Beta's player is still alive and well but, after some discussion, no longer continuing with him. We began the storyboarding a week before Dawntrail launched; however, we agreed to hold news until after we could make a natural reveal through RP. His new character here will be present from this point forward, and Mitan is now a widow with an arc of self-discovery ahead of her... again.))
