Mitch and I had a fantastic time this weekend in NOLA for our anniversary. We stayed at the Pontchartrain Hotel, and we loved it! Beautiful charming hotel, with a chic rooftop bar that has an extensive view of the city. Tennessee Williams stayed there while writing A Streetcar Named Desire. On Saturday we went on a holiday homes tour, and looked at 6 houses decorated for Christmas. Sunday we slept in and went to brunch, did a bit of shopping, and then went to see the Christmas lights at The Oaks. I had to go over to Pat O’Briens to get a glass for my collection. We both talked about how much fun we had, and how lucky/blessed we are to have found one another. We recalled all the other times we visited this city together. It was our first vacay together and it was where we honeymooned 11 years ago. We’ve been together for 24 years with 11 years of marriage, here’s to many more, babe!
