the bubbles coming out of the jets on the side

the filter churning away

the tiles and depth markers on the sides of the pool

the dark lines on the bottom marking the lap lanes

the smell of the chlorine

the deckchairs that you can lay on after you get done swimming

the shallow end, where you can walk on the bottom

the deep end, where you can dive to the bottom

the clear view from wearing goggles

the water slides, if you’re at a more exciting pool

the summery music playing

the rainbow innertubes, pool noodles, and diving sticks

Panel 1 Description: Jessica (a girl in a wheelchair) is sitting in her chair beside her cousin. They are both in swim wear. Jessica, holding her cousin’s arm, says with tears in here eyes “Oh dear cousin, how I long to get into your new pool!” Her cousin, dramatically throwing her hand above her head, replies “But alas, I cannot pick you up! If only I had but married a super strong dude!”

Panel 2 Description: A muscular figure appears as a shadow, with a bright light shining behind him in all it’s glory. The figure responds “Didn’t you?” The cousin and Jessica look at the figure with big smiles, as the cousin says “Oh ya!”

Panel 3 Description: The figure appears in detail as an extremely muscular man, with a beard and sunglasses. He says “Surf’s up Ladies!”. His wife (Jessica’s cousin) is holding his arm and cheering. Jessica is sitting on his forearm with her arms in the air and says “Our hero!!”

Panel 4 Description: A title bar that reads “REALITY”. The actual husband (in a beard and sunglasses with less of the muscles) is holding Jessica about to bring her in the pool. He says “…And that could be your next comic if you want!”. Jessica looks at him impatiently and replies “Ya-huh….” Jessica’s cousin (the man’s wife), is in the pool and says sternly “There, she said yes. Now can you put her in already???”]
