Part 255 of  “A Tale of Two Rulers” (May 3, 2026)

I live! I'm so sorry for being away for so long. It's been one family emergency after another (and some overlapping) for months and months. random life lessons that i've learned through this i wish to pass forward: Please please please get power of attorney over your old people so when they go nuts you can help them. Also if your dog starts to try to barf but nothing comes up and he won't eat even his favorite things and he has a bloated belly, for the love of God, take them strait to the emergency vet because they may be dead by morning if nothing is done. It's called GDV and it's a nightmare. Also please get pet insurance if you can. Luckily my dog survived!

I want a Bloodymary fic where it’s not Grace & Rocky that find Simon but other Eridian astronauts well after Grace had settled on Erid. They find him (don’t question how) and go “is human!!! Is human like Grace!! Friend for Grace!!” and just pack Simon’s ass right up.

And they end up introducing them like zoos introduce same-species animals to each other so that they don’t attack one another when they first meet. I’m imagining the Eridians dropping pieces of the other’s clothing or belongings in their respective “enclosures”, leaving Grace wondering where his favourite shirt had gone and why’s there a nearly-torn piece of clothing in his closet all of a sudden.

All of that leading up to their first meeting where Grace is crying and smiling wide, excitedly tapping on whatever wall that’s separating them, never thinking he’d get to see a human again, while Simon still doesn’t know what the actual fuck is going on because nobody told him shit

And the Eridians are watching them bond like an experiment and are commenting, too. “Grace has initiated a handshake” “Simon is scratching the walls” etc etc

Bonus points if Rocky takes a loooong time to warm up to Simon because he initially doesn’t see him as a worthy friend/mate to Grace
