I saw from your tags that you haven't read Rayearth before? Omg I love it so much!! I actually just bought the reprint of the Manga like a month ago because, well, nostalgia is a hem of a drug. But it's still one of my favorite manga of all time. So much so that my sisters and I cosplayed the 3 main characters back in high school!

Yes, I've been meaning to watch/read Magic Knight Rayearth for a VERY long time! Manga is a lot easier to focus on for my ADHD-addled brain so I will most likely read the manga. I know the story beats already but I'm excited to get to know the characters!

Oh dear good that's awful.

yeahhhh, the only good thing was that when i criticised it in the seminar i read it for, the seminar leader said i had really good points and it was really good i was critically reading material even for seminars (since i’ve only been at uni 7 weeks and everyone else seemed to take it at face value).

but yeah. it was gross. very, very, very gross. dehumanising enslaved people in an article about slavery is either naively oblivious or maliciously so, it’s utterly horrifying.

i think the other fifteen year old’s mum is getting involved so my mum’s feeling a little more confident? and she’s insisting on picking my sis up at midday the day after (which is somehow early), so my sis can revise for her gcse next week.

i think i must be missing out on stuff (i know my mum’s met said girl, but for like 5 mins in a starbucks?) but like. kinda concerned. pretty concerned. there’s talk of trust going on rn. i’m confused and concerned. kinda want to talk to my mum about this, but i’ll probably get her “you’re not [sis]’s mother, it’s not your business” spiel.

i mean, i’m unfortunately used to her not listening to me - at best she ignores me and at worst she’s pretty fucking abusive. and, unfortunately, i’m not surprised she’s in this situation - our dad’s brainwashed her into thinking he’s not abusive and she’s really protective of him and thinks that behaviour is 100% acceptable.

stil fucking pissed and scared for her though. she’s being super defensive about all this, bc apparently her friends smoke shit and get drunk all the time and they don’t get told off for that shit but she does for not being honest about this sleepover (which she hasn’t from the start), and that scares me even more. it’s an utter mess and i can’t even put into words how concerned and scared i am.
