TW: Domestic animal death
So unfortunately I have two new domestics on my hands. Two of our gu|nea p|gs passed last night. One of our boys and one of our girls. Pooplah (the girl) was cold, but Bucky (the boy) was still sort of warm and limp. We were really shocked and confused and hurt last night when we found them, and it looked like the other girl might not have made it through the night, but she’s still truckin’, so at least there’s that!
Momma thinks it’s food related (we switched their feed very recently to something a friend of ours uses), so we dumped out whatever extras they had from last night and just fed them carrots and celery. We’re going to the store today in order to buy them their old food (which is more expensive, but it’s worth it, all things considered).
The two buns and the other two p|gs are still chuggin’, so we’re hoping that these two babies were just badly affected by the food, and it’s not something else (we have no idea what else it could be, there’s nothing consistent between those two p|gs past room and housing, but that’s been the same for a year or so now, so...).
Anyway... I have those now, so I guess I’ll have to deal with those poor babies soon. RIP Pooplah and Bucky, you were two very good p|gs. :(
