I wanna delve into pokemon team dynamics because it has so much potential and I just want to watch pokemon be dumbasses lmao.
Mostly from my favorite guy AKA Gary Oak because his inner team politics sounds so fucking hilarious that I imagine while Gary is tired as shit from the chaos of his team, he gets a good laugh from their antics.
Case in point: who is Gary's Ace?
It's probably between Blastoise and Electivire. For me it's probably Blastoise because I like it. And Johto Silver Conference was peak.
But does the team agree with it?
Hell no.
It doesn't matter that Blastoise had the most experience, better stats, a possible mega evolution if Gary got a Blastoinite.
No. The rest of the team commit civil war every few months to see who the actual ace is and they mostly vote Electrivire because opposing Blastoise is always the right way.
Umbreon especially eggs on Electrivire.
BUT THEN.
A giant fire puppy is like NO, I'M THE ACE BECAUSE I'M THE OLDEST.
(I made Gary's first ever pokemon before becoming a trainer be his Growlithe.)
And Umbreon eggs on Arcanine too. But whats even more hilarious is that Umbreon deliberately attacks Arcanine with a Dark Type move to activate the hidden ability of Justified to boost Arcanine's attack. And to boost the chaos for the hell of it.
Blastoise is very done with these mutinies every few months and decided that no, do NOT give me a mega stone. They will all riot. No. Please. Don't give me that power.
As it literally sees the Blastoinite being offered to it's trainer, Blastoise proceeds to take it and put it back, and gets an Arcanite instead.
Hence why my Gary has a Mega Arcanine than a Mega Blastoise.
Because Blastoise said PLEASE NO.
Gary is exasperated. But thinks its hilarious.
They all do it on purpose and play it up to make Gary laugh when he's angsting and so he stops spiraling.
I got a lot more Gary's Team Chaos moments. I'll draw it one of these days.
