Amell and Surana definitely don’t pull punches 😂
Ahh Jowan, poor, sweet, Jowan D///: You see, I rather have a soft spot for supporting characters and this mage here is one of the people I'm particularly fond of >////< Even though he has so little screentime in Dragon Age: Origins (and only a little bit more if you're playing as a mage yourself), it doesn't change the fact that he grew on me T///T He's simply the kind of person who messes up big time, but regrets what he's done and eventually tries so hard to make amends D///x (That precisely why I wrote a little “happy end” of sorts for him in my story. He deserved it! >///>). This scene here shows him as a prisoner in Castle Redcliffe, all alone in his prison cell and he's racked with guilt. Waaah. Anyone here who wants to cuddle him? I know I want to!
I finally fired up Inquisition and created Inquisitor!Jowan. Everything was going fine up until he went to fill his first requisition for Threnn. Out he strode boldly into the woods around Haven to track down the materials... and accidentally attacked those two druffalo who hang out around the logging stand. Y’know, the ones with huge guard meters and who have a charge attack that knocks you halfway across the map. After five minutes of flinging fireballs and being tossed around on the horns of two furious snorting beasts, I had Jowan flee back to Haven with the raging druffalo hard on his heels.
This feels like a fitting start.
I just know Jowan was the sort who'd leer over your shoulder to copy off your paper during tests. And he'd always be like, asking you for notes or to copy off your homework or writing crib notes all over his entire body. "I thought blood magic would help me get better at cribbing notes," snivels Jowan. "I just wanted to pass. One test. That's all. You're such a good student, Arlen. If you weren't such a good student, I wouldn't have to cheat like this."
Tranquility, Part 4
Talking to Anders after the Chantry mess...
Bethany: You tried to help a friend. Surly no harm could come of that.
Ry: Ha! Jawaban.
