Could I please have Ken Kaneki being comforted by a reader when he's sad? Please??
Ken Kaneki is one of the strongest people I know. After everything that has happened, he has held a brave face and tried his best to stay strong. Of course, I knew there were times he had to let it all out by the end of the day, to cry with rage and frustration for thing she could and couldn't do.
Like for example, eating human food. That was something he was very upset about. That's how he knew he wasn't human anymore. When I saw his face after his bite of his favorite food, it broke my heart.
But after a couple years now, it's like he didn't have any emotions. He took those emotions away and hid them in the back of his mind. For a while, I thought he would never be back to normal. But that all changed when I went into his apartment.
It's been a few days of him having disappeared. And by that, I mean, never heard of him since. So, I took the liberty to check on him. See if he was home, at least.
And he was. I knew he was from the moment I stepped into his dark home. When his sobs were echoing through the empty apartment. That's when I knew he was back to being my friend.
I jogged into his room, finding him sitting on the floor next to his bed. Leaning against the wall as he hugged his knees. I knew that he knew it was me in his presence, but he didn't say anything. He just sobbed and cried in that spot.
Being the friend I was, I wrapped my arms gently around his shoulders. It was an awkward position, but he accepted the hug. His arms wrapped around me tightly, his sobs louder as they were right next to my ear. But I didn't care. I hugged him as tight as I could.
Once his cries have gotten quieter, I decide to ask him what was wrong.
"I just... I can't take it anymore, (Y/N)." His voice cracked.
"Ken... I know how hard this can be, but you're so strong. You've dealt with this pain for so long... " I started to tear up. "Please... I can't lose you... Please don't go."
I could feel his arms tighten just a little bit. "Why would I leave the one person who makes my life just a bit easier all alone?" I could hear him chuckle gently.
"I'll always be here for you, Ken Kaneki. Always."
