📢Psychonauts NSR AU, Chapter 7, VS. Lili📢
After the rap battle, Milla and Sasha headed to their headquarters.
“So did you guys manage to deal with the alley problem?” Gristol asked.
“Yep! Turns out it was Sasha’s father this whole time.” Milla explained.
“Well that doesn’t sound to bad.” Gristol joked.
“It was.” Sasha replied softly with his eye twitching a bit.
“Excuse me?” Gristol asked.
“It’s nothing, who’s next?” Sasha quickly replied.
“Right, to business! Today we’ll be dealing with something quite unique. Are you ready for the classics?” Gristol asked.
“Does it involve my Masters Degree?” Sasha asked.
“You bet! Head towards the Natura District. I’ve prepared some tickets for you.” Gristol explained.
“Tickets? What are we watching?” Milla asked.
“The question is who. A performance by Vinyl City’s greatest pianist, Lili. Truly a child prodigy.” Gristol explained as he turned on the screen. This time it portrayed a little girl who was possibly 10 years old. She had light skin, red hair which formed two braids. She wore a black and red conductor’s outfit. And had a red spider-lily in her hair.
“A child? You mean we’re fighting against a kid? An actual one?” Milla asked.
“Doesn’t that sound…” Sasha asked.
“Don’t be fooled by her age! I would advise you to approach Lili with extra caution. Despite NSR’s bias, it is no simple feat to be where she is at her age.” Gristol explained.
“Got it. Well, I’m not one to refuse a gig invitation. Let’s go, Sasha! And thanks for the tickets, Gristol!” Milla responded as she and Sasha left.
“My pleasure!” Gristol thanked.
~
When they arrived at Natura, they saw red autumn trees falling down onto the pavement. They saw several plants growing. And that is when they saw the Natura Concert hall.
They entered in… and are prepared to fight.
~
When they entered the concert hall. They saw Lili, playing on stage. On her black and red piano. Milla had an idea, that would get the kid’s attention.
“Boo! Boring!” Milla heckled.
“What the! You two! I knew that you were coming. You guys talk big about music but the only thing—” Lili shouted.
“What?” Milla asked.
“Yeah, we couldn’t hear you. Please speak up. This place needs to be design for speech clarity.” Sasha explained.
“Ugh! I said that you guys TALK. BIG. ABOUT. MUSIC! But the only thing that you’re good for is breaking stuff!” Lili yelled.
“You’re saying that we’re good at music stuff? Obrigada!” Milla replied.
“I didn’t say that!” Lili shouted. She slammed her fist on the piano. “You are going to learn on why I’m the Scarlet Maestro of Vinyl City!” Lili replied as she took a breather and played Canon, a well known song.
“Ugh! I’ve heard this song so much.” Milla responded. The fight was on.
~
“Can’t believe we got schooled by a kid.” Sasha spoke.
“Well we’re going to stop this now!” Milla responded as she broke the gate guarding the stage.
“Stay away from my piano!” Lili shouted as she played. Suddenly a hand held Lili and her piano by strings. Those were definitely blocking Sasha and Milla. Suddenly, eighth notes were getting launched to attack. And some of them left ammo. To which Milla and Sasha shot at. Causing one string to break, then another, and another, until all of the strings broke.
“Dad!” Lili shouted as she fell. But was thankfully caught by her father. He wore a black suit, and had a beard that looked like it was made from sticks, and was surprisingly big. “Dad!” Lili sighed in relief.
“Lili, my dear, please… stay calm. These bullies are nothing compared to you.” Lili’s father comforted his daughter. “Now, close your eyes. Listen to my voice… and show them, your magnificence!” Lili’s father explained as the stage’s accessories were removed.
~
“Got it!” Lili shouted. Now Lili was protected again, by the strings that held her. Milla and Sasha got the ammo they still had. But it was going to more hard, since now that Lili’s father is now sending shockwaves when the lights are off. Thankfully they had enough ammo to launch to break one string.
Then another.
Then another.
And another.
But Lili’s father shielded his daughter from Sasha and Milla, who immediately and easily knock him out.
~
“Hah! This is too easy to face.” Milla chuckled. She saw how angry Lili’s father was.
“Enough! You’re ruining. Her. Performance!” Lili’s father shouted.
“Dad! Wait!” Lili tried to respond.
“Keep playing Lili!” Lili’s father reassured his daughter. He turned to Bunk Bed Junction. “I should teach you brats some lessons of music.” He shouted.
“But. I have a master’s degree in Fine Arts & Music!” Sasha replied.
“SHUT UP!” Lili’s father shouted.
Now it was going to be hard. Lili’s father snapped his fingers and platforms were smashing near Sasha and Milla to which they dodged. They still got the ammo to break the strings. All of them. Enough for Lili’s father to protect his daughter.
“Dad!” Lili shouted as she fell lightly. “Dad?” Lili asked with worry.
“You… how could you do this to her!” Lili’s father shouted. Angrily creating a cage. Trapping Milla and Sasha. Bombs were added, exploding into ammo. But also they had to avoid giant piano keys playing. Milla and Sasha gathered enoug ammo to shoot at Lili’s father. Enough to knock him out (and for Sasha and Milla to land on a metallic red spider lily.).
“There’s only one thing left to do Milla.” Sasha told the guitarist.
“Way a head of you Sasha!” Milla replied. She set her guitar on attack mode, while Zuke prepared his drum sticks.
“BUNKA”
“JUNKA”
“SHAKALAKA-BAAAAAAAAAH!” But before they could finish. Milla and Sasha were launched off the side by Lili and her Piano.
“Lili my dear, you got them! Now, play for Papa one last time!” Lili’s father spoke with pride.
“I… I hate you all.” Lili softly spoke. Lili’s father gasped in despair.
“I hate you all. I. HATE. YOU. ALL!” Lili shouted as she angrily played the piano.
“Triplets! She’s going all out!” Sasha responded as he and Milla ran towards Lili.
“That’s massive damage!” Milla replied as she ran. The two dodged the triplets until they reached the piano… breaking it.
“No!” Lili shouted in despair. As the metallic flower exploded causing Sasha and Milla to jump off. Lili held tightly to her piano until her fingers slipped far away from it, until her held her tightly as the two fell down to earth.
~
Lili came out to find her piano, falling down and… breaking apart when it hit the floor.
“No…” Lili spoke as she ran towards it.
Meanwhile Milla and Sasha got up from the fall.
“Ow… that got to hurt.” Milla said as she rubbed her shoulder.
“You… imbeciles.” Lili’s father angrily told the two.
“Uh oh.” Milla spoke.
“You imbeciles! You’ve ruined everything! Do you have any idea wjat you’ve done?!” Lili’s father angrily shouted at them.
“You wanna go? Bring it on! Say it right to my face!” Milla responded.
Lili’s father was angry and immediately hurled himself towards the guitarist until he heard… the piano. Lili’s father snapped back to his senses and saw the damage he had done. He turned to his daughter, sobmerly playing the piano. Lili’s father walked closer to her, shrinking on the process. Playing the piano too. The piano… of Lili’s late mother. Who passed away. And the only thing left of Lili’s mother, was the piano… the piano that was broken.
