This is something I want to touch on more in time, but it kind of bugs me that Maki has really not been in that many episodes, and even in them he only has a handful of scenes. Like I have no idea if he was more prominent in the manga but most of his stuff had to be cut, or if he becomes more prominent later, but it’s just jarring how little attention his character has gotten when we’re almost halfway through episode 9 out of 13.

The main characters of any importance I can think of that have gotten around this level of focus (Aside from Akari where it kind of is an inevitability) are Rei, who is really minor, and Miyo and Riko, who really only showed up in Episode 7.
