The Road to Damascus
Sooo. Chapter 13 was also published awhile ago. Maybe re-read it. Jim & Seb are terribly busy falling apart. And Dr Chandra is in it - we love her. The next chapter is more recent, I promise.

“Damascus? If you see any lightning, run,” he said weakly.
It was a joke - but it was wrong. Everything was all wrong.
Something had crossed over in their world - when had it happened?
Shouldn’t he know?
Sebastian was staring at him like he’d sprouted a second head.
“St Paul? Road to Damascus??” Jim sighed. “Does no one know anything anymore?! Paul was converted to Christianity when-“
“When God spoke to him and blinded him with a brilliant light,” Sebastian interrupted. “Yes, I know…”
“Good for you, Sebbie,” Jim said, patting his cheek. ‘So if you see any lightning, you’re to get the hell out of there immediately. Can’t afford an attack of conscience now, darling…”
Sebastian raised his eyes and a charge went through them as they stared at each other.
Jim felt something like horror rising in him and he pushed it away in irritation like one would bat away a fly.
Who’s feeling an attack of conscience now, Jimmy?
“Why, Jim?” Sebastian asked in a quiet voice.
“Why what?” he replied, looking away.
“Why everything?? I’ll do whatever you ask, you know that… I’ll follow you into hell if that’s where you’re going… but I don’t understand anything anymore…Why are we doing all this?”
