hey i want to get into transformers comics but i dont know where to start. I understand that more than meets the eye and robots in disguise are both very good but do i need to read the previous series to understand everything, and are the previous series good as well? keep in mind that ill be buying the hardcover editions

I read literally zero Transformers comics before I started in on MTMTE, so I’d suggest jumping on there. The only thing you really want from before it is the two-issue “Chaos Theory” arc from The Transformers #22 and 23, which are available on Comixology.
