can we talk about how daylight is THE most perfect closing track she’s ever done.... after all the shit she’s gone through with reputation... for a while it was all this darkness but then she opens the curtains and it’s this blinding, dazzling, golden daylight.... she once believed love would be black and white but it’s golden..... and don’t even get me started on the little quote she says at the end.... i wanna be defined by the things that i love... she literally ends lover with THE thesis of the album....it’s truly about stepping into the daylight and letting it go........like how more incredible can a closing track be.... it just leaves you with this feeling of your heart being so full and you’re left literally crying at this amazing, divine, indescribable experience you just had listening to the entire album......
