Good evening, vampire hunters.
Efoire, a key member of Frederick’s band of vampire hunters in the early 20th century, is now available on my Society6 store for purchase. This young lady was designed to honor a childhood friend that I’ve always thought highly of while growing up. Sadly, she passed away a couple years ago and the news still hits me close to home to this day because I often daydreamed that we would eventually hang out again for old times’ sake. She was remembered by her friends, family, and loved ones for being such an amazing person whose vibrant smile and caring personality made her a joy to be around. For these reasons, she is still dearly missed.
This subject matter is a beautiful yet sensitive aspect of creative expression that have inspired artists and writers for centuries such as Dante Alighieri, Edgar Allen Poe, J.K. Rowling, and David Handler. All of them or in the latter’s case, his pen name in A Series of Unfortunate Events, have written stories based on the deaths of those whom they cared about and Efoire’s inspiration is no different. :)
That is why holding my childhood friend in high regards for all these years inspired me to design her character in the form of Efoire. It is basically my way of keeping my memory of her alive and allowing her to continue to live beyond death. How have you dealt with death in your family or in your community? Feel free to open up about it only if you’re comfortable with talking about it when you reblog this post. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll always have my condolences.
And now, I present you with Efoire’s complete bio;
A compassionate young woman known by her loved ones for her golden hair, radiant beauty, and her hardworking character. She is a logical, adaptable individual who is the deputy of a band of vampire hunters that has decided to embark on their odyssey to search for heliotropes that are stained with the blood of the deities. Though she does not practice magic like her friends due to her knowledge of the dangers of manipulating the dark arts, she uses a holy scepter to draw energy from the Sun and deliver its massive and lethal wrath onto even the most powerful of her foes. It’s best not to misconstrue Eforie as a damsel in distress.
