"You’re not very patient, are you?" Setting of the last episode but instead of trying to shoot Oswald Ed has a tiny nervous breakdown and throws his gun in the water like an angry toddler.
I followed this loosely. I am relatively happy with how it came out. Hope you are okay with it, if not let me know.
All Wrong
It was a flawless plan and it shouldn’t have failed. Oswald was supposed to be dead. Having Oswald point out that the plan wasn’t perfect because he was alive, just set him on edge. But they were on the docks again, it wasn’t going how it should. How can he determine where the plan went wrong if Oswald doesn’t play his part?
“What do you mean you’ll wait? There is no waiting this is it. Say what you have to say.” Damn him, he is trying to ruin this for me. The little shit is standing there looking… bored. Bored? I am pointing a gun at him.
“No, I’m good. You go do your thing, wave your gun at me. Be menacing. Be the big bad villain,” He yawned. “Be the Riddler.” Oswald waved his hands about mocking Edward’s hand motions. “Oh, oh, riddle me something Ed.”
Edward was getting pissed off at being mocked by his former best friend. “I’m not going to let you ruin this for me, Oswald.”
“Oh, of course, I’ll just stand here and quietly wait for you to shoot me again, shall I?” Oswald snarked at him.
“Just stop it, you’re being difficult. Just say what you are supposed to say.” Ed growled.
Oswald put his hand to his chin, giving an air of deep thinking. “Hmmm… No.” He forced a grin.
Edward threw his arms up in frustration, so infuriating. As Edward flailed his arms about cursing and swearing he paid no attention to the fact a car was approaching. It wasn't until he threw the gun in the river in a fit, that he realized that Oswald had backup.
Ivy’s girlish giggle rang out, “You’re not very patient, are you?”
“No, my dear child, it seems the Riddler isn't a patient man.” Oswald frown briefly, “When things don't go his way.” Edward watched as Oswald let a handful of bullets fall to the dock. “My Ed, however was a sweet and patient man. Let me know when he wants to talk.” Oswald pushed passed Ed and held his arm out for Ivy to take.
“Should I put him on ice?” Victor Fries glanced at the man in green.
“Not today, Victor, dear. We have a kingdom to reclaim.”
Ed was still standing there when they pulled off, running the whole scene back through his head, trying to find the flaws in it and how to fix it.
