I really need to start tagging stuff cause I have so many posts reblogged and guess what I can’t find anything
Your turn! Raspberry, Pomegranate, Kiwi, Starfruit (I also now want to make a smoothie)
While out and about running errands today, I drove past a Tropical Smoothie Cafe and thought of you! (Also I didn’t know we had those around here, so I’ll have to stop in sometime.)
Raspberry: Favorite flower?
Violets, I think. Daisies are lovely too, but I like how small and intense violets are. (Those little purple flowers that spring up in some people’s yards are violets too, right? I’ll have to investigate.)
Pomegranate: When do you feel most confident?
Ooh, that’s a tough one. In the summertime, definitely. I have a small selection of dresses that I got because they remind me a little bit of Misty Day from AHS Coven, and I always feel damn confident when I’m wearing them. Flowy dresses, loose hair, bare feet, sun on my shoulders. Misty Day might actually be my role model, now that I think about it. (Not sure I’ve ever actually had one of those before! This is weird.)
Kiwi: What’s something that fascinates you?
Cats, maybe? Reading about their behavior and how best to care for them, watching them walk around and hunt and stalk and play, stuff like that. I’m also a big big fan of planting things from seed and watching them grow and stuff, but I can’t really do that in the apartment because of Kami, so that part might have to wait until I have a yard.
Starfruit: Favorite sea creature?
Octopus, hands down. They’re so smart. Before I really knew how fucking brilliant they were, I liked getting little octopus bits when I went to Mongolian Barbecue, but now I’m very uncomfortable eating them. (Calamari is still kinda weird.) They’re about the only kind of seafood that I won’t eat. There was one summer where I found an octopus webcam stream from some zoo somewhere and that was a really good summer. (Side note: if any of you know of any current octocams, hit me up, man.)
I had my wisdom teeth out on Thursday, and it’s kind of cool to see how genetics work and how evolution works as well - more and more people aren’t needing to have their wisdom teeth out because a) they aren’t causing any problems for the rest of the teeth or b) aren’t growing in at all.
I only needed to have two wisdom teeth removed, both on my right side. I don’t have any wisdom teeth on my left, which I’m happy for - my right cheek is currently doing its’ best to resemble a chipmunk! Ice packs are helping a lot, as well as all the ibuprofen and T2′s I’ve been given.
7 Bloggers and Getting to Know Them
I was tagged by the ever-lovely @nuvoleincielo bless u.
Relationship status: Basically married? I’ve been off the market since before I was a legal adult, sorry everyone.
Pets: Two sweet middle-aged gerbils (Vincent and Theo) and a giant old goldfish (er...technically Tonks but pretty much we just call him/her “that damn goldfish” in a reverent tone), but my apartment complex doesn’t allow burrowing critters and I haven’t summoned the motivation and/or courage to transport that damn goldfish so they all still live with my dads. Getting a cat within the year (or like 18 months max) is on our radar though.
Wake up time: Between 5 and 5:30 am, jesus save me. On the weekends it’s usually around 10.
Dogs or cats: Cats. There’s something about their “Come here no go away now touch me OKAY NOW WE’RE DONE” and their stealthy brand of emotional neediness that I can really relate to.
Day or night: Night. Unless there’s a really pretty sunrise. Or the sky is a brilliant blue. Or it’s grey and drizzly.
Text or call: Text.
Chapstick or lipstick: Chapstick and lip stain.
Last song I listened to: Something instrumental. I think the guy said it was a french musician, or else from a concert in France? I have the CBC Radio 2 station as one of my car’s presets because the hosts are consistently a trillion times less obnoxious than American DJs no matter whose show I’m listening to, and they talk about real world news (not celebrity stuff) every hour and there are very few commercials and on weeknights there are special jazz and folk programs (or should I say programmes??) and you should follow that link and listen because right now they’re playing popular music from Quebec!!! and just...if that station is any indication, Canadian radio is superior in every way to American radio.
Tag 7 bloggers you want to get to know: @poptabprincess, @felicity-smoak-is-my-goddess, @boldlygoingtomidgard, @tiggysworld, @reincarnatedsoul, @judaas, @toughiespeaks, and literally anyone who wants to post this. If you feel weird doing it because I haven’t tagged you, like this post and/or send me a message and I will make it official and tag you.
I don’t know if any of you have seen the Lord of the Rings/Star Wars proposal floating around the internet, but I just watched it and it’s so cute and I’m really happy for them.
On the other hand, I burst into tears because I’m only 21 but I’m honestly afraid that no one is ever going to ask me to marry them or want to spend the rest of their life with me and I just felt so horribly lonely all of a sudden
I’m posting this really quick before going back to studying, but I just wanted to give a huge hello to everyone who decided to follow me recently (and everyone since the beginning, too!)
I’m not going to be blogging/posting as much as I usually do in the following weeks - classes start again tomorrow and it’s a large amount of courses this term, and I work full-time on the weekends.
If anyone wants to talk, my message box is always open and I’ll reply as soon as I can. I want to get to know all of you out there
200 hundred followers?
I never thought I’d reach this number, and I want to say the hugest thank you to everyone who decided to follow me.
I can’t afford to do a giveaway (I’m a college student) but maybe one day I’ll knit you all some scarves!
