Pork loin steak at Tokyo Tonteki. I don't even know what to write about this place- I mean the photo speaks for itself. Generous portion of steak in a soy sauce based sweet-and-savory sauce served on a scorching iron skillet with fried garlic chips. Not to mention the refreshing cabbage Sengiri (finely chopped raw cabbage) cause you gonna need that fiber later. The closest location to me happens to be on the east side of Shibuya station, which is very busy with salarymen on lunch break, students, and not to mention overseas tourists. Other locations include Akihabara, Okinawa... and apparently Manila. Definitely not a restaurant that you can relax after a meal. The upside is that you might wait in line but the line moves fast, and the food comes out very quickly. They will kick you out as soon as you finish your plate. Don't be an ass and just find a cafe to plan your next move. Although the restaurant has 'Tokyo' in its name, apparently the "Tonteki" is a local dish of the Mie (Me-Yay) prefecture. The word 'Local dish' always gives off an obscure vibe but as I've said, the photo should speak for itself. The smell of the pork sizzling in the magical sauce will confuse a full man to think he's starving. Feel free to douse it with Japanese Mayo, too. Homie better not have a tinder date afterwards.
