We set up camp in the dark. A friendly backyard under the stars. Next to the garden, in between the trees, but not next to the bees. They had bees! I fell asleep easily with nothing but a sleeping bag, and woke up to a shared apricot for our drive back out to the woods.

You wouldn’t know about this Navy base by looking at Google Maps. But I wanted to do a little bicycling around the islands to find one whole island is fenced off from the public. I have no clue what the name of this Navy base is called. There is no reference to it in the description of Port Hadlock.
All I know is that the fenced area is heavily guarded. I wish they places could be identified…
