Prison records indicate that at 2:55 a.m. on April 16, 1994, Jeffrey Dahmer placed a note outside his cell door that read, "I foresee a summer full of very nasty behavior problems for Jeff." When questioned about the message, Dahmer replied that the prison staff wouldn't understand its meaning. A sergeant asked him if he had any immediate plans to misbehave. Dahmer said he hadn't planned anything for that night except to go to bed, and that maybe he would plan something in the coming weeks.📝

The train is just a few miles north of Portage, to the right is the Seward Highway and Turnagain Arm, to the left are saltwater ponds left over from the great earthquake of 1964 and the backdrop is provided by the Chugach Mountains.
