Chocolate, Games, and Birthdays
So today was my sister's birthday who just happened to turn 20 :o. I had made her a flimsy card filled with amazing doodles that even doodle god couldn't beat it(B.S.). Nah, it was actually a pretty legit card. :) As her birthday present since I just so happened to be extremely poor at the moment from eating too much sushi and pho this week I gave her two dollars and thought long and hard as to what to do for her.
Wanna know what I came up with?
It took about 6 hours to create with minimal flaws (also b.s :) ).
Well Lets get this party started 5...4...3..2..1 Action!
We started out with sugar, butter, and strawberry gelatin.
While I waited for the butter to become room temperature i started on the chocolate curls, setting of the bowl of icewater to keep the chocolate curls from losing form.
(1 bar of chocolate curled by peeling corner down. For thicker curls start at a thicker corner and stop half way. Try not to go too quickly or it will cause the curls to be the texture of cocoa then pretty curls
Two Bars of Chocolate. Okay! So Now we are making extreme process! The butter is melted and ready to go! :D
Notice this texture (The butter, sugar, and gelatin finally creamed together):
Okay so now i'm adding the eggs:
Now notice the shine after adding just one egg. Three more to go!! :)
After the eggs i began to sift the cake flour and added it gradually to the batter
Time to add the pureed strawberries mmmm strawberries
Homemade buttercream Icing and strawberries :)
