sooo i can’t remember when but i started two portbowell moodboards that have just been sitting unfinished in my canva file with all my other hsmtmts moodboards. anyways i got bored and decided to finish them so here they are! portbowell by day (or summer) and night, hope you love! ☀️🌙

i actually miss hsmtmts a lot but i don’t think i can go back because my heart can see the portbowell potential in the show and i can’t handle the fact that they literally bent the fabric of the universe apart to make rina happen and the cornball effect of it all would kill so many brain cells it would take years off my life

Whats a story you would want to rewrite/improve ? If there is one

i think all of them lol, whenever i reread a fic of mine i’m always thinking of ways my writing style has changed and how i can improve my work. but if i had to choose three…

ceaseless eve: i actually did revise through chapter nine, though then i stopped short. i think it’s already good, though the revisions fixed a few grammar issues and added some more layers to the characters and their relationships 💌

camp triple pine: my love letter to lawrusso/karate kid. i wrote it at 18 as a fun summer romp, and it really shows lmao. the tense changes are atrocious, and there’s quite a few ooc moments i’m not sure even i can defend. but to be fair it’s still a lot of fun and earned some fandom awards and (more importantly) love from my karate kid mutuals. if i had a chance to redo it though i think i could really make it shine ✨

who said anybody would?: my love (and spite) letter to portbowell/hsmtmts. i wrote this kinda rushed between several other things, though it was appreciated by the readers due to how utterly rare the trio is (there’s like 5 of us 🧍). i think if i honed in on this fic i could definitely make it longer and flesh things out more

all in all i think i’m hard on myself because i love these fics and ships so much. idk if I’ll ever give myself a chance to go back and revise due to all the stuff I want to write, though i think it would be fun to look back! 💌

I just watched our boyfriend (matt cornett) in summer of 69 and literally went come kicking my feet and giggling bc he is so cute. and I don't usually scrounge for hsmtmts content on tumblr bc that was like. smth I indulged in w irls but actually none of them get RJ the way I know you get RJ.... so I don't rlly have moots doing all that and now I'm poking around now to see if you have any fav recs bc ik I've read at least 2 of your rj fics 🙏

(i also don’t go on tumblr for hsmtmts stuff unless it’s within my bubble of mutuals, i find the maintag is like rina and/or Bad Take central 🫠 a s4 hater like me can’t survive in those conditions 🙏)

as for fic recs, unfortunately i don’t read a lot of fic/have any others that i can rec right off. i know @haven-of-dusk writes caswen/RJ and based on the excerpts i should absolutely lock in on reading his fics 👀 i also have all of my hsmtmts fics here, which includes caswen, portwell, and portbowell (“who said anybody would?” is gina/ej/ricky as a poly ship (!!!) but it has some good caswen moments as well).

it’s missing hsmtmts hours which for me also means missing portbowell hours 💔 they are so loved by me i mean:

- ej asking ricky where the electric guitar is so ricky can confess his love for gina and ej giving them both advice during their relationship even after he broke up with gina

- basically the entirety of season 3 like

- ricky asking ej & gina for a group hug 🤨

- their group hug in episode 4 “we’re all good friends” are you sure about that? (read in a ‘more than friends way’ not a ‘jealous love triangle way’)

- ej & ricky both saying wow when gina walks into prom

- THE CANOE SCENE GOD MY ROMAN EMPJRE

ricky helping gina set it up, ricky leading ej to it, the “there’s room for one more”, THE LOOK RICKY GIVES BETWEEN THEM

they could’ve had it all 💔
