When I got my portfolio back, on the sticker on the front (the one that says LD, ANIM, STORY, & LO), animation was crossed out whereas the rest where circled. Is that bad?

no, it just means those sections have been seen. it’s like a checklist

Hi! I have a silly question. Was the deadline February 17th? People keep asking questions, that means that we have some extra time? When will we know the results?

feb 17 was the mail in deadline. For people handing in their portfolio in person, the deadline is some time between the coming mon-thurs

Edit: You should know the results in about a month or so.

does the student have to pay the portfolio fee themselves? or can you get someone you know to pay it for you as long as they know your id number?

you can get someone else to do it

can you get a friend or parent to pay the portfolio fee while you stand in line like do you have to be there as a student

Yes. Just make sure they have the sheet that is filled out for you.

edit: You’re going to need that receipt when you hand in your portfolio so make sure they’re done paying before you get to the front of the line

I'm a bit confused about this because some ppl say you get your score sheet when you turn in the portfolio in person, and some say you wait a month. I'm gonna be going on the 28th to drop it off and pick it up, will I be getting my score sheet the exact same day? Sorry I'm not sure who else asked this

No. You will not receive your score sheet until a week or two after you receive your acceptance or rejection, which will be a month after you hand in your portfolio.

i'm slightly worried because i can't make it into the school until monday (my portfolio session) to pay the portfolio fee, am i going to miss the line up?

Get there early and get in line to pay the portfolio fee early, too. There will be a line there as well. It should go quickly, but just plan to get there early. The line usually goes quicker near the end of the portfolio session since more people are there at the beginning, but it is best to arrive early.

edit: if you get there on time on monday no one will turn you away, don’t worry

If we're are just dropping off our portfolio, does that mean i can drop it off anytime between 8:30-10a or do i have to come at 8:30?

You CAN come at any time between 8:30 and 10, however keep in mind that the line for the portfolio will be long. It is best to come early if you can, but if you can’t make it then, just be sure you are in line before 10.

edit: actually the line is usually longer at 8:30 than 10, so you don’t have to come super early, but it’s obviously not recommended you show up after 10
