With great travel, usually comes great culinary adventure! My recent trip to the Rio Grande Valley with @occasionalgypsies allowed us to check off four places that have been on our taco and BBQ checklists. In Brownsville, we had smoked brisket and sausage from @1848_bbq and cachete de res and carnitas from Vera’s Backyard; in Port Isabel, we had a giant taco con todo from Manuel’s; and on South Padre Island, we went to Cap’n Roy’s for the awesome grilled shrimp tacos!
