Portkey.org.. gone?
Oh my god.. the page is not loading anymore D:
I haven’t checked in a long time. Is this old news?
Please, no. It’s like losing an old friend. :’(
Help a girl out :)
So, apparently portkey.org (hp fanfiction website) has been taken down in the past year or so, and I need help trying to find the title of this story that I was reading that I didn’t get to finish, so hopefully, me writing the description will help trigger some quess in your beautiful brain of yours:
So basically, this is after deathly hallows’ epilogue, sorta AU, and our main characters married their respected partner: Harry with Ginny, Ron and Hermione and so on and so forth, each making a respective family of their own as well. I believe 10 or 12 years into their marriages, our main characters go on an anniversary trip via car... and BOOM the crisis of our story which is that Ron and Ginny die (not that it was hating fanfic on them) and Harry and Hermione survive the car crash.
Being that they had HUGE families to care for, they find a system that works with them having schedules and such and OBVIOUSLY like any other hurt/comfort, romance novel, the two besties slowly but surely start falling for one another ya da ya da ya da...
Hopefully this was enough information to give you the clues to find this fanfic for me :) THANKS YALL in advance
PLEASE NO
IT?S HAPPENING AGAIN...
Portkey.org is not loading... why? God, don’t let it happeeeeen...
I like the types of fanfic that are so on cannon and so good that you can't remember if it was a fanfic or if it was actually in the books..
Seriously, please. There was only one or two I really got into (on portkey.org) and I think that they were abandoned. Please help. Or if I tell you which ones if any of you know if someone’s continued them on another site please Tell me I have lots of good ideas I will give you if you write fanfics, for telling me about the ones I want to know about
hp ff update: a hundred different ways
fandom: harry potter
title: when the idea clashes with reality ii
characters/pairings: Harry/Hermione
Dinner turns out to be a much more lively affair than what she thought it'd be an hour ago. With Harry and her parents commanding most of the conversation as Teddy wriggles happily on her lap, trying to grab more of the fruit her mother had cut up for him; the little Lupin had latched on her as soon as her bum touched the chair, which prompted her mother to comment on her affinity with children. This caused her father to make a sour face, mumbling something about someone being too young and Harry—and Harry simply smiled at her, saying it was a little unfair that his godson seemed to like her better than he liked him.
Christmas break arrives without much preamble.
As she promised, Hermione goes home to spend it with her parents, bringing along not homework but the painful truth that it's been over a month, and no one knows anything about Harry. So, imagine her surprise, when come Christmas Eve, there's a sharp knock on their door and when her mother goes to answer, she returns smiling with none other than Harry Potter in tow.
Well, Harry plus Teddy.

title: when the idea clashes with reality
characters/pairings: (friendship, for now) Harry/Hermione, Ron/Hermione
“I don't know how you do it, Hermione. Long-distance relationships are hard enough on their own, but when you are in a relationship with someone and you're not even compatible? You must be either the most in-love woman in the world, or the most stupidly stubborn.”
She should've seen it coming, but this whole situation kind of sneaks up on her. Completely unexpected and thrilling. Exciting.
Frightening.
Because it's not supposed to be like this. There are rules to consider, people to think of, standards to meet. And a whole bunch of equally ridiculous excuses that simply cannot be ignored as of now.
Somehow, though, it doesn't seem too difficult to ignore it all in lieu of charging forward like a freaking Gryffindor.
Of course, it all is a by-product of unfulfilled expectations, disappointment. A case where the idea of something is sometimes—definitely better than the actual thing. In this case, however, the something is actually someone.

hp fanfiction: you could call it a break
fandom: harry potter
title: you could call it a break
characters/pairings: Harry/Hermione, (a little, implied) Neville/Luna
Of course, a part of him, the cold and logical part, keeps telling him that their unwilling trip to Malfoy Manor had not been a complete waste—they had learned where the remaining Horcruxes are, they had rescued some prisoners and they had killed three of Voldemort's finest (Bellatrix Lestrange, Antonin Dolohov and Fenrir Greyback).
They had been engaging in this tireless dance since Fourth Year.
The signs were there, the connection, the feelings and the desire; everything was there, waiting for them to act on it.
But Hermione felt terrified. This had the potential of being something great and yet, it also could be disastrous for their friendship. Harry, she knew, was as afraid as she was; he wanted it all but didn't take it for fear of buggering it up and lose it. Lose everything.
She raised her eyes, not surprised at all to find his green eyes locked on her. The quiet murmur of the Library fell away, and while her mind tried to tell her there was lots of homework pending, Hermione could only focus on Harry's longing expression. She knew her face reflected the same sentiment, but as it was, there wasn't much to do about it other than… oh, bugger.
