Kelsy Bailey,10, signs off on Fire Chief Mark Berney's vacation request, as she was awarded Scugog's Junior Fire Chief for a day Oct. 9. The Grade 5 student submitted the award winning entry on fire safety that won her the title for the day. While she was on duty, the young fire chief had a chance to explore the fire hall, see inside the fire trucks, as well as try on some bunker gear.
